1. ) count or uncount the part of a person that makes them behave in a particular way in social situations, for example in a friendly or unfriendly way, or in a confident or shy way. You use the word character when you are talking about whether someone is good or bad, or honest or dishonest:
He has a very outgoing personality and makes friends very easily.
Your car often reflects your personality (=shows what kind of person you are).
